化学性质  液体。沸点247℃，相对密度1.106，折光率1.5330，闪点＞110℃。 用途  白内停的中间体。 用途  用作医药中间体 生产方法  用香草醛以过氧化氢氧化，然后水解，并以硫酸二甲酯甲基化制取；或用对苯二酚以重铬酸钠、硫酸氧化，生成对苯二醌，后者以乙酸酐乙酰化，得1,2,4-苯三酚三乙酸酯，后者以硫酸二甲酯甲基化制得该品。
